This website is operated by Go Check My Brands LLC, a South Carolina limited liability company. Contact: hello@gocheckmyparents.com.
There is no account anywhere on this site. An email is never required to use anything on this site. The only place we ask for one is an optional waitlist you can choose to join, and an address given there is used once, to send the notification you asked for, and for nothing else. The assessment runs in your browser and sends your answers nowhere. The lookups send only what you type into their search box, to one data service we operate, and the section on your answers says exactly what. That said, visiting any website involves some data by its nature, and the sections below describe, honestly, what that means here: the analytics we use, the host that serves the pages, the fonts we load, and the third parties some links lead to.
We do not ask you to create an account, and no tool, guide, or download on this site requires an email address. The one exception is an optional waitlist you can choose to join, where an address is used once to send the notification you asked for and for nothing else. We do not run a mailing list, and we do not sell, rent, or share addresses. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. We do not run advertising networks or cross-site ad trackers on our pages.
The assessment and the affordability calculator run in your browser and produce a result there. Your answers to the assessment's questions are sent nowhere: not to us, not to a data service, not to anyone. The result is built on your device, and a link you copy carries the answers inside the link itself.
The lookups are different, because they need public records we do not keep in your browser. Each one sends only what you typed into its search box, to one place: the shared GoCheckMy data service at api.gocheckmy.com, which we operate. Exactly this is sent:
The data service is not sent your assessment answers, your calculator entries, or the page you came from beyond its address. Like any web request, a lookup reaches the service from an internet address (your IP). The service uses that address for one thing: a counter that lasts about a minute and stops any single address from flooding it. It does not write your address down beside what you searched for, and when a lookup fails it records which lookup failed, never what was typed. It keeps copies of the public records it fetched, filed by ZIP or by state, so the next search is faster; those copies contain nothing about who searched. The data service is hosted on Netlify, the same company that hosts this site, which keeps the standard request logs described under "Hosting and server logs" below; a request's address can include the ZIP or the name that was searched.
Until September 2026 three of these lookups sent your state, not your ZIP, through a separate relay on this site. That relay is gone. It could not find what was actually near you, and running two paths meant this page described only one of them. There is now one path, and this section describes it.
The assessment also offers the option to describe your situation in your own words instead of tapping through the questions. If you use it, the text you type is sent to a small relay we operate on our host, which forwards it to an AI service provider (Anthropic, the maker of Claude) to turn your words into the same structured answers the questions produce. It is used only to fill in those answers in that moment; you then review and can correct them before any result is built. We do not store what you typed, and under our provider's terms it is not used to train their models. If you would rather not send free text, the questions do the same job entirely in your browser.
Some tools offer a "copy link" or share option. When you use it, your answers or the facilities you pinned are encoded inside the link itself so the page can rebuild the result. Anyone you send that link to can open it and see what it contains, so share it only with people you intend to. Separately, the tour scorecard and the text-size and contrast controls use your browser's local storage to remember your entries and preferences on the device you are using; clearing your browser data removes them.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages are useful. To do that, Cloudflare processes limited technical information about your visit, such as the page you viewed, the referring page, and general device and browser type. It is designed to work without cookies and without tracking you across other websites, and it does not build an advertising profile of you. Cloudflare's handling of this information is governed by its own privacy policy.
This site and the shared GoCheckMy data service are hosted on Netlify. Like essentially all web hosts, Netlify automatically records standard technical request logs, which can include your IP address, the time of the request, and the page or file requested. These logs support security, troubleshooting, and reliability, and are handled under Netlify's own terms and privacy policy.
Our pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts. To deliver a font, Google receives the request for it, which includes your IP address, under Google's own privacy policy. This is standard for sites that use Google Fonts, and it is used to serve the font, not to identify you to us.
Some links on this site are affiliate links, and some tools point you to outside services. If you follow one, the destination is an independent company with its own privacy practices, and it may set its own cookies or collect its own data. Once you leave a GoCheckMy site, that company's policy applies, not ours. See How we make money and How our recommendations work.
This site is intended for adults researching care for an aging parent or for themselves. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We do not keep an account or a profile, so there is nothing on our side to retain beyond ordinary technical logs. Our host keeps standard request logs for a limited period for security and reliability, under its own policy, and our analytics provider keeps aggregate visit data under its. Your assessment answers are never sent to us, and what you type into a lookup is not stored by us beside anything that identifies you; the data service keeps only copies of the public records it fetched, filed by ZIP or state. Anything saved on your device, such as your text-size preference, a tour scorecard you started, or a result you bookmarked, stays on that device until you clear it.
The site is served over HTTPS. Because we do not collect accounts, passwords, or payment information, there is no such data on our side to secure or to lose in a breach. The limited technical information described above is held by our host and analytics provider under their own security practices.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information a business holds about you. Because we hold no account and no profile, there is generally nothing on our side to access, correct, or delete; the technical data described above sits with our host and analytics provider under their policies. You can clear anything stored on your device through your browser settings, and there are no advertising cookies to decline because we use none. To ask about any of this, email hello@gocheckmyparents.com.
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of the page. Because we do not collect contact information, we cannot notify you directly, so the version posted here is always the one that applies.
Email hello@gocheckmyparents.com and a person will answer.
